Our Utah Trip...
So we headed out of town on Saturday morning and made our way to Monroe, Ut. We had many stops along the way. It was a VERY long trip, but was lots of fun. I think we stopped in every city along the way. We stopped in Parowan Saturday evening to hang out with Grandpa & Grandma Bean. We had a BBQ and the girls had a BLAST! Then we made our way to Monroe and stayed there until Monday. It was very gloomy and cold there, and a little depressing, but I'm glad we went. We went out to the cemetery and put LOTS of flowers on John's grave. The girls have been there many times before, but this time they were very anxious to get there and put out their flowers. I always get very emotional when we are there, but I am so glad I went. This morning we left and headed back to Las Vegas, with many stops to vist family along the way. We stopped in Cedar City to visit my Grandpa & Grandma. I also got to see my Aunts and Cousin and her family while we were there. Then we headed to St. George and had dinner with my sister and her family. Then we finally headed to Vegas and we are finally home! It was a very LONG drive but was well worth it.

Memorial Weekend....
So this weekend we are going to good ol' Monroe, Utah for Memorial Weekend. We are staying at my brothers house, who will be gone camping, so we will have the cute little cottage all to ourselves. John is buried in Monroe, as well as my Grandpa, so we are going to take flowers and balloons and decorate their graves. I used to go to Monroe EVERY Memorial weekend, but I haven't been the last 2 years. I really don't like going to the cemetery. Every time I go there it reminds me of the day of the funeral and the day John was buried. When my family ask me why I dont like going there, I simply say I would rather have wonderful memories and think of him in heaven, rather than at the cemetary. Its still so hard to look at his headstone, even 10 years later. But I havent been in a couple of years and I want his grave to look beautiful for Memorial Day so I think its time. I always burst into tears as soon as we pull into that place and I'm sure it will happen this time as well, but I have to go. Its suppose to be rainy and cold all weekend long, so I've been diggin out all of our wintery wools so we don't freeze our tooshes off the whole time we are there. Its always freezing there! But we can stay inside and play games and have some family time. Hopefully the sun will shine for a little while so we can decorate!

YuMmY FrUiT DiP!!!

Okay I know I am lame for blogging about this, but this stuff is so YuMmY that I have to share. My mom gave me this recipe and it is to die for! I have been eating it for like 3 days straight! All you need is 1 pack of Cream Cheese (plain or strawberry) You can even use the 1/3 less fat or fat free, and 1 container of Marshmellow Creme. Just Mix together and WALA! I sometimes add a little more cream cheese to make it CREAMIER! I love it with strawberrys, bananas, and grapes. Its SO good and so ADDICTING!

"Sew" I am sewing!!!

I have been SeWiNg lately and I must say it is VeRy addicting! I started off making burp cloths and bibs for baby gifts, and now I am on to aprons and bags. There are so many things you can make and so many CuTe fabrics to choose from. My sewing isn't the greatest (yet) but practice makes perect and I LoVe doing it! My very talented sis-in-law Lyndi made the girls the CuTeSt scripture totes I have ever seen. I have tried to make some of my own, but they didn't quite turn out. Maybe someday. I will have to post some pics of them so everyone can see her great sewing skills! Thanks for the CuTe totes Lyndi!

LaSt GaMe
Brooklyn had her sOcCeR tournament On Saturday. They played two games and won one of them. They took second place for this season. They did a GrEaT job! I wanted to sign her up again for the following season which starts in a couple of weeks, but she said she wanted to take a break and its getting to HoT outside! I don't blame her. Hopefully she will want to do it again next time around. She is a little ChAmP! Her team got GoLd metals for coming in second place and Brook just loves her metal! She even wanted to wear it to church.

TaGgEd...
Ok, Melissa tagged me so here it goes...
4 things about Brooklyn
1. Brooklyn was the FiRsT girl born in Washington County in the year 2000! She was a little Milennium baby! She was born 4 weeks early and was BrEaChEd!!! I went into labor on New Years eve after eating very spicy taco's at Chili's. I went home and started having horrible contractions. I knew that she was breached and I had a scheduled c-cection on Jan.28, so I was very scared. Dave drove me to the hospital 100 mph, only to have them tell me it was too early for her to come out! They gave some little white pill which was supposed to stop the contractions. Well, we went home and I took the pill. I started feeling very whoozy and was standing in my bedroom and I had the worst PaIn ever! I stumbled over to my closet and was screaming and grabbed on to anything I could, which happened to me my hangers, which I began snapping in half from holding on to them so hard! Once again, Dave drove me back to the hospital 100 mph and we barely made it in. She had started coming down the birth canal (breached) and I had an emergency c-cection. She was born at 4:11 am on Jan. 1, 2000.
2. Brooklyn is a DaDdY's GiRl!!! Brooklyn LoVeS to hang out with her Dad. She always tells people that he is a "pushover" and she can get whatever she wants from him. Which is pretty much true. When ever I tell her she can't have something at the store, she grabs my phone and calls her dad, sweet talks him for a few minutes, and then says "Thanks Dad, your the best". By the way this usally upsets me after I have been telling her No, you can't have it! Whenever I get mad that he has allowed her to have it, after doing no chores, and earning no allowance, she always says, RELAX MOM! She is such a funny girl.
3. Brooklyn LoVeS animals! She has 2 mini pinchers which she absolutley adores! She never calls them by their names, Anni & Santi, It's always, "The Girl and The Boy". Every morning when she wakes, she rushes down the stairs and releases them from the cage and feeds and waters them. She loves taking care of her pups! We used to have an outdoor cat named Sherbie. When we moved to our new house, he ended up going for a walk and never returned (oops!) Brooklyn still talks about him everyday (9 months later). She always says he was the bEsT cat ever and she loved snuggling with him. When we go to the dog park, she is the girl running around petting everyones dog, Which I am not to fond of, and we have warned her several times about this. She will walk right up to a huge great dane and just start hugging and giving loves. She would take them all home with her is she could. She is always saying she wants to move back to Utah so we can have a farm with 100 animals. Her and Taylor have always said when they graduate from Zooligy school, they are going to have a ranch in Utah and take care of as many animals as they can!
4. Brooklyn is my little aNgEl! Brooklyn has saved my life in more ways than one. After John died, my cousin Jillynne's husband Travis was talking to me and he told me there is always something good to come out of all the bad, which was hard to believe at that moment in my life. Well, after I awoke from surgery after having Brooklyn, and they brought her into me for the first time, as soon as they put her in my arms, I remembered him saying that to me. I thought here is all the GOOD! Dave and Brooklyn have both been a bLeSsInG to me and I am so thankful for them each and everyday! Brooklyn's name also has a special meaning. When John and I were married, we had always talked about what we were going to name our kids. BrOoKlYn was the girl name. Well, I had told this to Dave and I after I had found out I was having a girl, he said lets name her Brooklyn for John. I was like are you sure, and he said yes lets do it! So thats where "Brooklyn" comes from. Her middle name is JoY, and that is Crystal's (Dave's sisters) middle name. She set us up on our blind date, so we thought we should name Brooklyn after her. Brooklyn is definatly the JoY to our lives! She is such a loving, sweet girl and we are so blessed to have her. She can be VeRy stubborn at times, and a little headstrong, but all of her sweetness makes up for it! Love ya Brooklyn!!!
Now I tag Jillynne for Brielle and Lainey, and Lyndi for Madison and Max!

HaPpY eAsTeR!!!
The EaStEr BuNnY made it to the Bean house yesterday. He left Brook lots of CaNdY, and a cute little easter soccer bunny. Her and Taylor also got the Nancy Drew movie too so they were very exited about that. Brook looks like she had a very rough night in the pics, but she got plenty of sleep. Taylor was with her mom for Easter, but the bunny brought her tonz of goodies too!!! Brook looked so PrEtTy in her new easter dress, but my stupid cam froze up again, so I wasnt able to get a pic.

WhAt'S "BeAn" GoInG On...
Dave turned 31, yes 31 last week. His birthday was on Thursday. He was planning on taking the day off work, but that didn't happen and he had to go in. We had dinner that night, and cake and ice cream too of course. Then on Friday we went to dinner at Carrino's and it was YuMmY!! Dave had been wanting to see 10,000 BC since he saw the previews awhile ago, so we went to see that on Saturday, and it was really good. So we had a few days of fun celebrating Dave's birthday. Only sad part was I wasn't able to take a single pic! My fairly new camera keeps freezing up! It' so irritating!
Brooklyn started SoCcER 2 weeks ago. She has never played soccer before, but she plays like a pro! Her team is called the Wizards. They lost their first game, but on Saturday when they had a game, they tied with the other team, so we were happy they didn't get a 2nd loss. I was able to get some cute pics, but of course everytime I go to download them, my stupid camera freeze's up!!! So hopefully we can figure out what is wrong with it and then I can post some pics..stay tuned for those. Brook and Tay are also out of school all week for SpRiNg BrEaK!! We are hoping it will warm back up again so we can go swimming or do something springy! Thats about all thats going on here!!!

Happy Birthday Taylor!!!
Taylor turned 10 on Sunday, and we celebrated her birthday on Saturday. My sister Casey and her kids came and we just had a little family party. Dave suprised Taylor on Friday with tickets to Nascar. Taylor LOVES stuff like that which is a good thing since Dave will never have any boys! So we had a little party for her and had a BBQ then they headed off to the Races with my sister's friend and her boys. It was a great weekend!
